Started from my big concern about the skateboarding world in Singapore, which I think the facility and venue that has been given by the government are well organized. But how wasteful with all these facilities such as skate parks, which the standards are known internationally and local talents that I think are has a potential to go as best and as far as the international pro skaters.
With my objective to create a local skateboard manufacture that is environmental friendly, inspired by the fact that Singapore is lacking of forest and natural resources. The idea of creating eco-friendly skateboard was by experimenting the formula found in t that can be found in any leftovers objects that are made out of maple.
Inspired by my objective to support environmental friendly products. Roots were driven from the meaning of the origin, which symbolizes skateboard deck originally made from trees and that trees came from roots.Design and illustration titled BALANCE, that I used for this first issue was inspired by 5 elements of the nature from the Chinese feng shui that create balance on earth. Skateboard, which has been known as the extreme sport that needs balance to be able to ride it.
